OK Promotions hosted their second annual Miss Spring Break Bikini 2007 pageant show at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel, Invaders Bay, Audrey Jeffers Highway, Port of Spain. The show was held on Wednesday 30th May, 2007, inside of the elegantly decorated and comfortable Grand Riviera Room where the seven charming young ladies showcased their talent, intelligence, grace and swimwear which was sponsored by Choas, Mickles and Ms. Phillip of Asro Designs in Chaguanas.

Taking full advantage of the ambience in and around the hotel, the contestants, although a bit anxious before the show started, eagerly spent time interacting and taking part in a few fun and spontaneous photo shoots with Triniview.com.

The host and hostess who served as emcees for the show were Adrian Raymond, a member of Peter Elias and Associates and Miss Trinidad and Tobago World 2006, Ms. Tineke De Freitas.

Opening the show and captivating the audience with a brilliant performance of an enchanting selection on pan was Robert Tobitt.

Immediately following Robert's performance, the contestants were introduced to the audience and judges. The introduction song, "In the Summer Time" by Shaggy, was appropriately played by DJs Ivan 'Porky' Wilson and Anton Marin of Hampro International Studios.

Wearing bikinis and heels, the girls finally made their entrance in an orderly fashion. The ambience in the room was accentuated with the soft lights, plush wall to wall carpet and a modern display of ornaments which, elegantly set against the soothing colours on the wall, created an intimate setting in the room. Taking that into consideration, the organizers felt it was best to keep the girls stage make-up at a minimum and their hair more natural to compliment their youth and skin texture.

The young contestants paraded across the room in full view of the audience along the middle of the passageway and then finally in front of the judges table. At the end of the introductory segment, they all headed backstage to change into another set of bath suits for the question and answer segment.

Although the contestants showed some initial signs of nervousness, they were quite composed during the second segment of the show. At this time, the contestants had to name their favorite artiste and explain why they liked him or her. They also showcased their talent by singing a verse of a song of their choosing by their favorite artiste.

Nicole George's selection was "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley; Christine Samaroo choose "Last Dance" by Donna Summers; Neisha Jeffers did "Die With My Dignity" by Singing Sandra; Fola Karamoko sang "Irreplaceable" by Beyonce; Allana Trail sang "Hero" by Mariah Carey; Shannon Parris sang "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston; and Canilia Thatcher performed "That`s The Way It Is" by Celine Dion. The small audience, which consisted of family members and other supporters of the contestants, was very supportive of the Miss Spring Break Bikini contestants during their performances.

To add a little fun and to keep the audience entertained while the contestants got ready for the final segment of the show, the emcees encouraged members of the audience to take the platform and showcase some of their own talents. A couple of them bravely sang and were presented with hampers at the end of their performances. A best dressed male and female were also chosen from the audience which added even more excitement to the night's activities.

They absolutely enjoyed themselves during the shoot which took place by the pool and a small beautiful landscaped garden. The girls then raced back to the stage, pumped with more energy after the shoot, to complete the pageant.

The seven contestants strutted into the room for the last time all bedecked in their beautiful blue and white seductively cut, floral designed swimsuits. At the end of their last appearance in front of the judges they all lined up in full view of the audience.

The contestants, who seemed pleased with the response of the supportive audience also looked forward to the prizes.
