To "Old St.Joseph": do you remeber any of the people who lived on this street?
Also, you mentioned a couple of items of historical interest in other comments, such as the Cabildo. I would be interested in finding out more about the history of St. Joseph.

It's at King and Nelson, right? If anyone knows Mano Marcellin ask him. His family lived very close to it. Thanks, Judy and Sharon for reminding me of the Da Costas. Anyone remembers "Valere's Parlour"?

In its prime, this house was known as the "Boardmans' House" if my memory is correct after 50+ years. Michael and "a guess" are correct about its location.

Going down priest hill.
Playnig in the valley.
Teasing the priest's dog and running like hell.
