I agree. But the problem goes back further than 30 years: I left 50 years ago, and the roads and buildings in many of the pictures show no improvement after half a century.

the entire country needs to be painted, scraped & rejuvenated its all looks so run down nothing has changed within the past thirty years or more.Isthis Cuba or one of the richest island in the caribbean ?

To T&TEC and TSTT wires, add the open sewers, the dilapidated galvanized iron fences and pedestrian barriers, etc in the eastern Main Road pictures. A shame they are still there and proliferating into the 21st century. Where's the oil revenue going?
