" HOW CAN THESE PEOPLE (UNC SUPPORTERS) STILL FOLLOW A MAN LIKE PANDAY?" HE HAS ALREADY ...

FIVE DAYS BEFORE GENERAL ELECTIONS 2007, DR ROWLEY, IN A TV INTERVIEW, LOOKING VERY BAFFLED AND BEWILDERED ASKED THIS QUESTION:-

QUESTION:

" HOW CAN THESE PEOPLE (UNC SUPPORTERS) STILL FOLLOW A MAN LIKE PANDAY?" HE HAS ALREADY BEEN PROSCUTED, CONVICTED AND JAILED, YET THEY FOLLOW HIM.

HIS(dr. rowley) MANERISM AND ARROGANCE EXHIBITED WHEN HE ASKED THIS QUESTION INFERRED THAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE TO BE DAMN BRAINLESS AND STUPID TO STILL FOLLOW PANDAY.

ANSWER :

Let me first remind you that over the past decade, both the UNC and PNM governments have placed great emphasis on education and spent billions to educate its people at all level. "BINGO"!, DR Rowley. Here's some good news for you. Although much is left to be desired, the majority of our people are now literate.CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH THE UNC AND PNM .

THE PEOPLE STILL SUPPORTS PANDAY BECAUSE, AFTER EDUCATING THEM, THE PNM GOVERNMENT HAS INSULTED THEIR INTELLIGENCE.

HOW??????, YOU ASK.

You have not just "PROSECUTED" Panday
You have "PERSECUTED" Panday

And now that you have educated them, THEY CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE.

SO WHEN YOU DRAGGED THEIR LEADER, THE 74 YEAR OLD POLITICAL ICON OF THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE, and brought him before the integrity commission, convict him amidst overwhelmingly apparent BIAS and jailed him. 'THAT IS PERSECUTION" AND NOT "PROSECUTION" .........OUR HEARTS WENT OUT TO HIM.

Although there maybe a hundred people before him, who have not declared their assets, you singled him out and began your relentless persecution of Mr Panday, TOO NUMEROUS TO MENTION. There has never been such a csse tried in this country before, yet you tried and convicted him in record time.......finishing well in advance of these General Elections.
Unfortunately, this did nothing to help your sinister cause. It apparantly helped bolster up tremendous support for Mr Panday.

SO, I SAY TO YOU, DR ROWLEY. DO NOT LOOK SO BAFFLED AND BEWILDERED AT OUR SUPPORT FOR MR PANDAY. THE PNM GOVERNMENT PROVIDED THE CATALYST FOR IT WHEN THEY CHOSE TO RELENTLESLY " PERSECUTE " MR PANDAY.

LESSON FOR YOU, DR ROWLEY:

DO NOT EDUCATE YOUR PEOPLE AND THEN UNDERESTIMATE THEM BY INSULTING THEIR INTELLIGENCE.
