Independence National Awards 2014

On Sunday 31st August, 2014, forty-four national awards were presented by His Excellency, Anthony Carmona at the Presentation Ceremony of National Awards on the occasion of the 52nd Anniversary of the Independence of The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago at Queen's Hall, St. Ann's, Port of Spain.
The first National Awards were given in 1969 and is hosted by His Excellency the President annually on Independence Day, August 31st. The National Awards of Trinidad and Tobago are as follows:
The Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago
The Chaconia Medal
The Humming Bird Medall
The Public Service Medal of Merit
The Medal for the Development of Women
