Arima bands top single pan finals

LH Pan Groove of La Horquetta and Arima All Stars copped the top two spots in the national single pan finals at the Arima basketball court on Thursday night.
Impeccably dressed as sailors set for off-shore leave, the La Horquetta pannists tallied 284 points with their rendition of Shurwayne Winchester's "De Band Coming."
They beat Arima All Stars, which played Crazy's "Carla," by four points.
World Wide Symphony copped third spot with De Fosto's "War 2004."
Last year's champ Angostura Woodbrook Playboyz placed fourth.
