Launch of the Trinidad and Tobago National Commission on Reparations (TTNCR)

On Sunday 13th June, 2015, the Trinidad and Tobago National Commission on Reparations (TTNCR) was officially launched at the Daaga Auditorium, University of the West Indies (UWI) Campus, St. Augustine.

The programme included a feature address by Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Vice-Chancellor of The UWI and Chairman of the CARICOM Reparations Commission, calypso performances by Jerimiah James and Dr. Hollis 'Chalkdust' Liverpool, a drum prelude by the All Mansions Rastafarian Movement Drummers and musical preludes by pannist, Carlyle Oliver and the Yuyaric Kayna group from Ecuador. Members of the audience included local Rastafarians, First Peoples representatives, civil society, Diplomatic Corps, government and the media.
