I was told in my granparents day this was all bush and mangrove, from right to left. And that road seemed so big and dangerous. It was scary then to to cross the "highway". Just across from the back of the cemetary there used to be a "Carnival" saw my first bearded lady there, some of the "Carnies" stayed in my aunt's shed in the back of our house.
