Noble Douglas Dance Company presents ‘Threshold’
The Noble Douglas Dance Company Incorporated (NDDCI) presented “Threshold” on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October, 2015, at Queen’s Hall, St. Ann’s Port of Spain at 7.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. respectively as a continuation of its 30th anniversary celebrations. The programme featured new choreographic works by Allan Balfour whose dance piece Threshold examines the spiritual benefits of making the right choices at critical moments; Arlene Frank whose Echoes of Lyfe performed with the accompaniment of African drumming and percussion artistically explores the dramas which life unfolds; and Megan Navarro whose high-energy work Surge challenges the physicality of the performing dancers by personifying forceful kinetic movement. Classic choreographic works were proffered by Penelope Kalloo, Delton Frank and Noble Douglas. The cast primarily comprised students of Noble Douglas’ Lilliput Children’s Theatre alongside experienced principal dancers.
