I agree. But the problem goes back further than 30 years: I left 50 years ago, and the roads and buildings in many of the pictures show no improvement after half a century.

the entire country needs to be painted, scraped & rejuvenated its all looks so run down nothing has changed within the past thirty years or more.Isthis Cuba or one of the richest island in the caribbean ?

The outdoor station of the croos was not on this hill. It was on Nelson St.

Debby, I am glad there's someone who still remembers that time when this area was pristine and you could swim in the river. Went back some years ago for a visit and was apalled to see it was reduced to a trickle of sewage.

I know the old governor house is in the vicinity. This area should be declare historical and preserved for the future generation to see past. What ever they read about in school could be also visited.
